Now it is confirmed the Pakistan cricket coach murdered, how will this affect the sport in Pakistan?

Jamaican police have confirmed Pakistan cricket coach Bob Woolmer was murdered, as post-mortem results showed he was strangled. More than one person could have been involved in committing the murder, police said. The official post mortem report revealed "Mr Woolmer's death was due to asphyxia as a result of manual strangulation". After referring to Woolmer's death only as 'suspicious' for most of this week, Jamaica Police have now begun calling the case a murder investigation. Woolmer's body was found in his hotel room on Sunday, March 18, less than a day after Pakistan's controversial loss to Ireland in the cricket World Cup. http://au.news.yahoo.com/070322/23/12uny.html

  1. im sure that the sport will be affected but only on a minute level compared to the overall view...cricket is a huge sport and is not only a sport for recreation, but part of a deep cultural background for many countries.....though this is a tragic loss Pakistan will hopefully will not be dealt with such horrible news as this and move on to realize that sports do not need to separate nations , but yet bring them together
  2. it will force the bookies to pay an extra 10% to the Pakistani cricket team for danger money
  3. The ICC should ban the Pakistan cricket team for an indefinite amount of time, as I do not think that they are worthy of playing. It was match fixing as the odds against Ireland were high.
  4. Yes i also heard this news on Tv that Bob Woolmer was strangled to death but who did this was still unknown
  5. While it is suspected that Bob Woolmer has been killed, the exact cause of death has not yet been offocially confirmed. Police is investigating the matter and a clear picture will emerge only after the investigation is completed.
  6. I so sad, I think pakistan will can get like this type coach Now Pakistam team have to do the team work Now all the countries know about this so they cant move same like before games may be they are upset mentally
  7. So are you saying that Pakistan lost on purpose and an angry gambler took it out on the coach? Or are you saying someone in the Pakistani team thought the coach lost the game for them so a British side would beat the Pakistanis? Unless you mean eith of those, Pakistan's sporting teams will be uneffected. _______________________________ An aussie cricketer who knew Woolmer for many years says the coach would not be involved in match fixing.
  8. Personally I couldn't care less, cricket has to be the most boring game in the world.
  9. maybe Imran Khan will take it over. And they will win again
  10. may be they would be a change in the captain
  11. They will have a real tough time recruiting decent coaches. Pakistani cricket has been pretty sus lately eg players using banned drugs, matchfixing, ball tampering etc, it seems murder was inevitable!
  12. THE BEST: 1) DON'T PARTICIPATE IN ANY BATTING 2) ANY ONE DO BATTING INFORM TO POLICE AND IB. 3) DON'T PLAY THE GAME 4) DON'T WATCH THE GAME EVEN IF LIVE OR NOT, 5) DON'T TALK ABOUT 6) DO NOT READ ANY NEWS OF IT, 7) DO NOT BUY ANY PRODUCT IF PROMOTED BY THESE PLAYERS, 8) NEGLECT THESE PLAYERS 9) DO NOT GIVE ANY IMPORTANCE TO THEIR FAMILIES, 10) NEGLECT THE PERSON TALK ABOUT ANY ABOVE. WHY? WHY? WHY? 1) IT IS A BORING GAME OF 700 REPEATED CYCLES OF "THROW .... HIT.....CATCH.....RUN.....THROW" 2) IT HAS COMPLETELY TAKEN AWAY THE PRESTIGE OF INDIA ( INDIA IS BEAETN BY BANGLADESH)
